Melon Salad with Ricotta Salata. Golden Cherry Tomato. Strawberry Confit. Purple Basil. Cashew. Cayenne

August 26, 2012

“Inevitably our words convey mere fragments of the reality on which our experience fed——then at least with a shadow of what in the depths of our soul we know to be untranslatable: the pure emotion of an encounter, the wonder of a discovery, that fleeting moment of silence before the word is produced that will remain in the memory like the traces of a dream that time will never completely erase.”

Today at the farmer’s market I couldn’t believe how intensely fragrant the melons were. Your melon salad is a fantastic combination of flavors, textures, and colors.

I absolutely love the styling in this. Looks (almost) too good to eat!

Guh. Breath taken away. The styling of this says so much. It leaps from the screen and draws you into another place. Does that sound crazy?!? I don’t care, I love this, seriously.
